Dies R Us Mid-Month Challenge 79!

Hello sweet friends!
Welcome to our new mid-month challenge at Dies R US! Our challenge today is anything goes using dies. So anything you want to create, any theme, any style... just use some dies on your project.

So here is the card that I created for today's challenge.

I wanted to make a birthday card for my mom as her birthday is a week after my daughter's. My sweet daughter's birthday is on the 19th (This Saturday, turning 14!!!) and then my mom's follows next week on the 27th. So being that I already have my daughter's made, I figured with this challenge being anything goes, I would take the opportunity to make my mom's birthday card! So I started off by using the largest die in the Floral Ovals dies by Spellbinders to create my card base. I used GP cardstock for the base and I cut out another layer from beautiful shabby paper pad from the Paper Studio. I then cut out the Impression Obsession- Paper Cone Die from wood paper in the same paper pad. To the middle of the cone, I added some beautiful washi tape with gold edges. I cut some ferns, also from Spellbinders to put inside the cone. Once that was finished, I added in some beautiful flowers that I had cut using Impression Obsession- Bunch of Blossoms Dies. I added in some glitter to my flowers using my Spectrum clear sparkle pen. The sentiment was cut also from a Spellbinder's set called "Sentiment one" and I cut it twice in pink and black as I wanted it to have that black shadow effect. And to finish off my card, I added in one simple gold heart to bring out the gold in the washi tape. I hope my mama likes her birthday card this year!

And that completes my card! All of the dies that I used are highlighted in the links above and can be found in the Dies R Us store HERE

Well that is all I have for you today my friends. I appreciate you for taking time out of your day to visit me and see what I am up to. Please don't forget to stop by the Dies R US challenge blog to see what the rest of my design team sisters have created for you today. And make sure to link up your own project too! Little Blue Button Stamps

Hello sweet friends!
How have you all been? Cannot believe that it is the first day of August already! WOW! And it is a very sad day for my family. As you are reading this, I am attending my uncle Johnny's funeral. :(   This is the 4th family member to leave us since Easter of this year. Pretty sad. Anyways, lets get to today's project!

Today, I will be sharing a brand new image with you from  August's new release. The Little Blue Button Stamps Shop has released some amazing digital stamps for this new release as always and I am super excited to share with you what I created using this adorable digital stamp called, "Anna with cupcakes".

Here is my card!

This is such a fun image to play around with! I printed the image onto Canson watercolor paper and used my Spectrum Noir Aqua markers to color the image in. I also created a little scene for the background by masking off my sweet Anna and her lovely pup. I created some grassy hills with a little dirt mounds scattered, and added in some beautiful blooms..... the sky so pretty blue with a few clouds lingering. Everything that you see was done with my watercolor markers and my Silver black velvet brushes. The sentiment was stamped in archival black ink and is from a MFT stamp set. .. to finish off the card, I took my pilot pen and outlined the image to make it pop and added in a few highlights and dots....then added a few gold hearts and some perfect pearls. The card layer was adhered to a piece of Stampin' Up Flirty Flamingo card base. Oh forgot that I also added in some Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen for some shimmer on the cupcakes and the dog's collar.  :)

Well I hope you enjoyed my card showing off this adorable"Anna with cupcakes" image! Please remember to head on over to the LBBS Blog to check out the awesome projects that my design team sisters have created for you using August's New Release.

Well thank you for stopping by today!
I hope you have a wonderful, crafty day!
Until next time, Enjoy life's blessings~

Cards for Little Hearts Card Drive Blog Hop & Giveaway!

Hi Friends!!!
Oh boy am I excited for this post!!! But please note, this is my 2nd post today so if you are looking for the Dies R Us Challenge, click here. Ok so why am I so excited for this post? Well because today I am honored to be participating in a huge blog hop for the Cards for Little Hearts Card Drive!!!!

The purpose of Cards for Little Hearts is to collect handmade cards for the Heart Center staff at Nationwide Children’s Hospital to distribute to children with congenital heart disease and to help lift their spirits while they are hospitalized for major heart surgery or are having a particularly tough time.  Thank you so much to everyone that helped send in cards for the last card drive.  What an incredible turnout!  Because of your generosity and kindness, we were able to bring smiles and heartwarming encouragement to 364 heart patients and their families in February during National Heart Month!!!! What an amazing gift you all gave to these families!!
So we are doing it again and I hope you will definitely join in on the cause with me!

The current card drive started on July 1st and will continue on until August 25th with the theme being Winter Wishes or Holiday Wishes cards collection . So there is still time for you to make one card or ten cards! :)

This card drive is opens to both U.S. and International participants.  Anyone is welcome to help make the cards, including children, grandchildren and students.

For a complete list of guidelines for this card drive, including the mailing address for your cards please click here.

So if you started hopping at the beginning of the hop, then you are in the right place as I am stop #2 on the hop! Therefore, you should have arrived from Christina's blog!  When Christina had asked me to be a participant in this card drive, I said yes right away. I was completely honored and immediately knew that I needed to be involved. Children have a very special place in my heart, they always have.... and I am grateful to be participating and proudly sponsoring this card drive.

So here is what I created for today's Cards for little hearts Hop...

My adorable critters were stamped and colored in using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I used the Lunar Animals set by Mama Elephant & the Cuddly Critters set by Simon Says Stamp. I added some santa hats & candy canes that I stamped from Tim Holtz's Crazy Things set. The little presents came from a Holiday cupcake wrapper that I fussy cut out! They were the perfect size for these little cuties! Backrounds were created using Distress Oxides and I used a touch of gold stripe washi down the center divide. I had so much fun creating these adorable little holiday cards! I know these will surely put smiles on some little ones faces! Now it is your turn to make a holiday or winter card so that you can put a smile on a little one's face too!!! :)

 But First....
How can you win some prizes????
Just follow the instructions below and it's that easy! I know right!? :)
*Please Note: Winners will be announced on Tuesday August 8th, not the 7th. There was a typo in the box below. Please make a note of this*
